Sandy Barblett
Non-executive Chairman
Sandy is a London-based corporate financier and has been involved in mining and metals for almost 20 years. He is a co-founder of AIM-listed Capital Metals plc. Previously, he spent 10 years in senior management for former FTSE 250 technology company Pace plc. Sandy has a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University of Technology in Perth, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland.
Alex Walker
CEO & Director
Alex is a mining investment banker and resources executive based full-time in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Originally from Australia, Alex has more than 15 years of mining finance and management experience and was co-founder and GM of ASX-listed ScandiVanadium. Alex has an MSc in Mineral and Energy Economics, a GDip in Applied Finance and Investment, a Bcomm, a BSocSci, a GAICD, and is a former Captain in the Australian Army Reserves.
David Minchin
Non-executive Director
David was a geologist for Rio Tinto, the British Geological Survey and ICL-Boulby. He was a Principal Geologist for AMED Funds - partly responsible for investing and monitoring $450 million in projects. David is also CEO of Helium One Global and previous Managing Director of ASX-listed ScandiVanadium.
Anthony Eastman
Non-executive Director
Anthony is a London based accountant and member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He is a Partner at Orana Corporate LLP and has over 20 years’ experience in financial management and corporate advisory services including with Ernst & Young and CalEnergy Gas.
Chris van Wijk
Technical Director
Chris is an experienced geologist specialising in project evaluation and project generation. Chris brings a wealth of relevant experience including base metal and gold exploration in Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australia as well as joint venture management and project evaluation for major mining companies including BHP, IAMGOLD, First Quantum Minerals and Fortescue Metals Group. Chris has a Master of Science in Ore Deposit Geology from the University of Western Australia and is a member of the AUSIMM.
