Rudny Altai Belt

Grade, scale and infrastructure

  • Volcanic Massive Sulphide belt with >1,000 Mt of ore

  • East Star licences include:

    • Verkhuba Deposit targeting: 19-23 Mt @ 1.4-1.9% CuEq

    • Talovskoye Prospect with high-grade Cu/Ag mineralisation

    • Past operating mines

    • Targets from HEM survey and historical data being validated with geological field work

  • Two major regional producers: KAZ Minerals and Kazzinc (Glencore) – existing processing capacity

Verkhuba Deposit

  • Announced on 25 January 2023 the identification of a substantial copper-zinc-lead-deposit located within the 100% owned RA3 licence

  • An independent JORC-compliant Exploration Target of 19-23 Mt at 1.4-1.9% CuEq for the Verkhuba Deposit was announced on 21 March 2023, defined by 97 drill holes comprising 42,178 m of historical diamond drilling

  • Resource upside potential

  • Independent (Pre-CAPEX) NPV of US$241m on open pit only (5-6Mt)

Verkhuba Drill Results

  • Assays from Q4 2023 drilling confirm high grade copper and zinc mineralisation

  • Ore bodies within 20m from surface confirm open pit potential

  • VU_23_DD_001:

    • 2.9m @ 2.08% Cu from 19.4m

    • 15.0m @ 1.57% CuEq from 27.4m

    • 6.2m @ 1.11% CuEq from 56.4m

  • VU_23_DD_002 :

    • 11.8m @ 1.41% CuEq from 171.0m

    • 10.3m @ 1.77% CuEq from 186.8m

  • Ore bodies wider than previous resource model

  • Lower grade envelope and precious metal credits to enhance project economics

Talovskoye Prospect

High grade Cu/Pb/Ag - priority target

  • Mapping identifies high-grade Cu/Ag mineralisation

  • Samples include:

    • 6.30% Cu, 5.19% Pb, 0.81 g/t Au and >100g/t Ag

    • 8.44% Cu, >20% Pb, 1.1 g/t Au and > 100 g/t Ag

    • 2.58% Cu, 11.35% Pb, 3.84 g/t Au and >100 g/t Ag

  • Close to existing infrastructure with the Nikolovskoye processing plant only 17km away, which offers potential for low-cost development

  • Further exploration is required on this high-priority target with drilling planned for 2024
