Chu-Ili Belt

Central Asian orogenic belt

East Star Resources has 364.3 km² of acreage across two licences in the Chu-Ili Belt – a Central Asian orogenic gold belt with gold-bearing vein and stockwork zones, and IRGS and shale deposits. The belt is significantly larger in scale to the Kalgoorlie gold district in Western Australia but has had very little regional or local geophysics applied to date, presenting a significant opportunity to apply modern exploration technology.

Apmintas Licence

Demonstrated significantly mineralised system with potentially mineable grades close to surface. >10 km of strike along trend from high-grade mines

  • First movers – only made available in June 2020

  • Multiple outcropping gold targets including 6 gold occurrences and 7 mineralisation points

  • Historical data shows P1-P2* resources (GKZ) of ~910 koz in just one target and peak grab samples of 1,214 and 4,484 g/t Au

  • Artisanals mining gold at surface

Ownership (Joint Venture): East Star 80% / State Mining Co 20%

Size: 259 km²

Work to date

Assay results from 2022 drilling on Apmintas Licence demonstrated:

Southern Shabdar

  • High-grade intersections demonstrate existence of high-grade zones within the mineralised systems

Eshkilitau II

  • Potential for extensive mineralised system with a strike of more than 1 km

Eshkilitau trend

  • >10km demonstrates significant regional exploration upside

Next steps

  • Analysis ongoing to determine next steps

Dalny Licence

Geophysical and geochemical gold targets; high grade copper potential

  • Two groups of gold occurrences and six individual occurrences

  • Historical geophysical and geochemical anomalies never drilled

  • Current and past operating mines on both sides of licence along strike

Ownership (Joint Venture): East Star 80% / State Mining Co 20%

Size: 105.3 km²

Work to date

  • Geochemical and geophysical targets identified

  • Decades of historical data

  • Drone magnetics (2021) - 11 targets identified prospective for orogenic gold

  • Field mapping and sampling in April 2022 – high grade assay results from rock chip samples

  • 19 drill holes totalling 1,860m drilled on the Alatagyl target in 2022

Next steps

  • Further analysis is underway to determine next steps to progress exploration
