Chu-Ili Belt

Central Asian orogenic belt

East Star Resources has 739 km² of acreage across two licences in the Chu-Ili Belt – a Central Asian orogenic gold belt with gold-bearing vein and stockwork zones, and IRGS and shale deposits. The belt is significantly larger in scale to the Kalgoorlie gold district in Western Australia but has had very little regional or local geophysics applied to date, presenting a significant opportunity to apply modern exploration technology.

Apmintas Licence

Very high-grade gold along strike from very high-grade mines

Highlights

  • First movers – only made available in June 2020

  • Multiple outcropping gold targets including 6 gold occurrences and 7 mineralisation points

  • Historical data shows P1-P2* resources (GKZ) of ~910 koz in just one target and peak grab samples of 1,214 and 4,484 g/t Au

  • Artisanals mining gold at surface

Ownership (Joint Venture): East Star 80% / State Mining Co 20%

Size: 259 km²

Work to date

  • Initial target zones recorded high grade gold occurrences

  • Our structural interpretation introduces new concepts including IRGS

  • Historic trenching, rock chip and soil sampling and some drilling confirms walk up drill targets with still >60% of licence under cover, ready for exploration using modern techniques

  • 3,127m of RC drilling (2021) resulting in 63m @ 4.51 g/t gold at Novoe target and 14m @ 2.54 g/t Au at Eshkilitau II target

  • 4,567-line km of drone magnetics (2021) – 22 targets identified, 9 with historical gold occurrences and 9 with geochemical anomalies of gold pathfinders

Next steps

  • Eshkilitau II targets and other soil anomalies Artisanals mining gold at surface

  • DD drilling programme commenced Q3 2022 to extend known mineralisation and test priority targets under cover

  • Initial resource work

Highlights

  • Two groups of gold occurrences and six individual occurrences

  • Historical geophysical and geochemical anomalies never drilled

  • Current and past operating mines on both sides of licence along strike

Ownership (Joint Venture): East Star 80% / State Mining Co 20%

Size: 480 km²

Work to date

  • Geochemical and geophysical targets identified

  • Decades of historical data

  • Drone magnetics (2021) - 11 targets identified prospective for orogenic gold

  • Field mapping and sampling in April 2022 – high grade assay results from rock chip samples

Next steps
